This article examines a collection of watercolor drawings and engravings donated to the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstkamera) of the Russian Academy of Sciences by the Commission for the Study of the Yakut ASSR in 1931 and held in Siberian collections. This collection represents a valuable source for studying aspects of the daily life of the Yakut people, based on depictions of everyday, cultural, and religious scenes, including engravings depicting religious figures and views of rural settlements. The scientific novelty of this study lies in its systematic approach to the identification and attribution of the collection’s exhibits, which allows for a broader understanding of the artistic and ethnographic context of the works, as well as the attribution of some watercolors and engravings that were previously insufficiently attributed and little known to the general public. The results of the study confirm the authorship of a number of drawings and engravings, expand scholarly understanding of the scenes from everyday Yakut life represented in the collection, and contribute to improved attribution of museum collections for their more effective display and popularization. The study was conducted as part of the research project “Museum Collections as a Source for the Formation and Development of Scientific Knowledge: Collection, Description, Research, Publications” (supervisor: N.P. Kopaneva).
