The experience of combating brucellosis of domestic reindeer, which has been practiced for many years by carrying out general economic and special veterinary and sanitary measures, has shown their insufficient effectiveness. The fight against this disease is complicated by the peculiarities of the introduction of reindeer husbandry, as well as the presence of natural foci of brucellosis. As a result of studies conducted by some authors, it was found that the method of allergic diagnosis has a high degree of specificity. At the same time, due to the difficulties and peculiarities of reindeer husbandry, the practical application of the allergic diagnostic method could not be widely used. In this regard, in addition to other serological methods of research on deer brucellosis, the allergic diagnostic method is an urgent task. As a result of the studies, data were obtained on the allergic reaction of animals with the oral method of administration of the B.suis 245 vaccine. Considering that cellular factors due to activation of the T-system play an important role in the immunogenesis of brucellosis, studies conducted on reindeer vaccinated with a vaccine from the strain B.suis 245, palpebral allergic test with brucellin VIEV 30 and 60 days after vaccination, as a result of studies, it was noted that the maximum number of animals responding positively to the allergen it was on the 3 0th day (from 40.2 to 54.5%), while there were no significant quantitative differences depending on the method of administration of the vaccine. In the study at a later date (60 days after vaccination), positive reactions were recorded only in deer immunized by subcutaneous method (22.1 - 33.3%), and in those vaccinated by oral method, the results of the study were negative in all cases. Thus, it can be assumed that despite the weakly expressed and short-lived seropositivity with the oral method of vaccine administration, an active immunological restructuring occurs in the body of vaccinated deer, which is manifested by a delayed hypersensitivity reaction.
