Yakutia is among the regions of Russia with the highest livestock of domestic reindeer. Two breeds of reindeer are bred in the republic - Evenki and Evensky. At the end of 2022, reindeer herding farms located in different natural and climatic zones of Yakutia contain 168.5 thousand deer heads. The specificity of industry management lies in the zonal approach. In reindeer husbandry of Yakutia, four zones are distinguished: mountain taiga, tundra, forest tundra and forest. The largest proportion of deer is contained in large agricultural organizations - 95%. The most important species adaptation, unlike other representatives of the deer family, is the adaptation of reindeer to prey and feed on lichens. Unlike wild reindeer, domestic reindeer eat significantly more yagging feeds, including up to 50 species of lichens. A clearly pronounced seasonality of the change in the composition of blood serum in deer of the studied zones was revealed, associated with the influence of natural and climatic and geographical conditions of the industry. Thus, the level of total protein in the blood of domestic reindeer is relatively low, on average 69.65 g/l and ranges from 63,20±4,80 to 74,70±1,10 g/l, depending on the season of the year and the breeding zone. In the cold period, the amount of total protein in the mountain-taiga deer is significantly 15.39% lower than in the forest deer (P < 0.05). Low levels of protein in the blood during the cold period in animals are primarily associated with poor diet and high energy consumption in search of feed. On the contrary, in the warm period, the level of total protein in deer in the mountain-taiga zone turned out to be 2.67% higher than in deer in the forest zone. Apparently, this is due to the onset of summer heat and the beginning of a mass flight of blood-sucking insects, which causes the greatest concern for deer in the forest zone. It was established that in the warm season, deer of the mountain-taiga zone exceed deer of the forest zone in five indicators: the level of total protein by 2.66% (the difference is unreliable), the activity of AlAT by 25% (P < 0.05), the content of triglycerides - 54.3% (P < 0.05), urea - 44.4% (P < 0.01) and glucose - 4.9 times (P < 0.001). In the cold season, on the contrary, deer of the forest zone exceed deer of the mountain-taiga zone in six indicators: total protein level by 15.39% (P < 0.05), AsAT activity - 48.74% (P < 0.001), AlAT - 23% (P < 0.05), alkaline phosphatase -44.87% (P < 0.001), urea - 32.76% (P < 0.01) and 29.1% glucose (P < 0.05).
