В статье проанализирована демографическая ситуация, сложившая в Республике Саха (Якутия), в том числе в арктических районах республики - территориях расселения коренных малочисленных народов Севера. Рассмотрены проблемы современного социально-экономического положения коренных малочисленных народов Севера, связанные с развитием традиционной хозяйственной деятельности. Предложены меры по совершенствованию государственной политики в отношении коренных малочисленных народов Севера.
The article analyzes the demographic situation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), including the Arctic regions of the Republic - the territory inhabited by indigenous peoples of the North. The problems of contemporary socioeconomic status of indigenous peoples of the North connected to the development of the traditional industries of the North are considered. Measures for the improvement of the state policy in relation to indigenous peoples of the North are proposed.
