The article deals with the role of the council of fathers in the development of cooperation between family and school. The author emphasizes that the solutions of educational issues will be successful in case of activity of the public association of concerned parents at the educational organization - the Council of Fathers. Joint activities of parents, school and children will lead to comfortable conditions for successful adaptation of children to life in society. All this will be an important educational component contributing to the formation of a citizen of Russia.
