The purpose of the study: to describe the features of the concept of "fear" using the material of the fairy tale. Objectives: to define the concept of "fear" as a basic emotion that shapes human perception of the world, to describe the emotional concept of "fear" that influences individual human behavior and reflects cultural and social norms inherent in different peoples. Results: The study showed that the perception of fear in a fairy-tale space suggests a tendency for the intensity of the emotion of fear to increase depending on the culmination of the event, rather than a certain boundary between the state of madness and mental illness of the hero in works of fiction such as war or detective novels. Researching the concept of "fear" in fairy tales requires an interdisciplinary approach, as it lies at the intersection of several scientific paradigms. The language of fairy tales, as a nation's "cultural code," embodies archaic ideas and value dominants. As an element of folk wisdom, the fairy tale adapts to new conditions of life. By exploring the images and actions of characters as bearers of fear, it is possible to imagine and expand cultural stereotypes and cultural norms, which contributes to the study of cultural-emotional concepts in modern literature. Materials and methods: The research materials were the fairy tales "Ladybird" Smetanin T. E. аnd "Arai biirde baahynaga" (Once upon a time in the arable land...) L.M. Sabaraikina. - Altaana. The main methods of studying the concept of "Fear" were the method of continuous sampling, the method of linguacultural analysis, the descriptive method, including observation and generalization techniques.
