Цель статьи – представить историю изучения книги и чтения в библиотеках Якутии в разрезе времени, показать роль Национальной библиотеки Республики Саха (Якутии)в становлении и плановой организации библиотечной науки, осветить современное состояние научно-исследовательской работы, деятельность Научно-исследовательского института чтения им. Ю. Н. Столярова.
The purpose of the article is to present the history of book and reading study in the libraries of Yakutia in the context of time, to show the role of the National Library of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the formation and planned organization of library science, to highlight the current state of research work, the activities of the Yu. N. Stolyarov Scientific Research Institute of Reading.
