The monograph is the first to analyze the relationship between alcohol modulation of
the body’s sialic status and the processes of autoimmunogenesis, inflammation, selective
comorbidity, and pharmacoresistance in alcoholism. The pathogenetic commonality of the
participation of sialic acids in the regulation of immunoreactivity and inflammation processes under the influence of alcohol, viral and rheumatoid pathogens has been revealed.
The book will be of interest to practicing doctors, residents, graduate students, specialists
in related medical and biological professions, medical ecologists and epidemiologists.
